What are biostimulators and what are they for?
Biostimulators are injectable substances that are used to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin in the skin. Collagen is a protein that gives the skin its firmness and elasticity, while elastin gives it its elasticity and resilience. With aging, collagen and elastin production decreases, which can lead to the appearance of wrinkles, sagging, and other signs of aging.
Biostimulators work by stimulating the cells responsible for the production of collagen and elastin (fibroblasts). This leads to an increase in the production of these proteins, resulting in firmer, more elastic and youthful skin.
Biostimulators can be used to treat a variety of skin conditions, including:

– Facial sagging
– Expression lines

– Cellulite
– Stretch marks
Biostimulators are applied with needles or a cannula, which is a thin tube. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia and usually lasts between 30 and 60 minutes.
